New Year's Concert Catharinachurch Eindhoven

The New Year's concert was organized by two young organists, Leander Schoormans (26) and Yarno Missiaen (19). The concert consisted of two parts. Before the break, Yarno Missiaen played four pieces for solo organ, including “Et in Terra” by Jo Sporck. After the break, Francis Poulenc's organ concerto was performed by Yarno Missiaen accompanied by an occasional orchestra conducted by Leander Schoormans. This was followed by a concerto for organ and orchestra written by the latter.

It was a beautiful concert with an enthusiastic and attentive audience. Jo Sporck's work came out well and the soloist received many compliments for his performance of this not simple work! As the Sporck Foundation, we can be proud that we were able to participate in this special concert.
