Sporck foundation

In 2003, we - a number of enthusiastic music lovers - founded the Sporck Foundation. The foundation selflessly promotes the compositions of the Dutch composer Jo Sporck and his kindred spirits. Supported by private donations and funds, it organizes concerts, CD releases and (educational) musical projects.

The foundation's board works on a voluntary basis: contributions always directly benefit the projects.

Why Sporck Foundation?

Music must be heard. Certainly the music of Jo Sporck: contemporary, intense, lyrical, powerful. These are some descriptions that only partially do justice to his special talent. We are captivated by it and want to make it possible for his music, but also his sources of inspiration, to be performed and thus continue to sound. Especially in this day and age!

What does the Sporck Foundation do?

We organize one or more concerts annually. In addition, we initiate special projects such as the Sporck Music Prize, the Piano Festival of the Low Countries and educational programs for schools, companies or institutions.
