About the performers:

Pierre Buizer graduated with distinction from the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Jacob Slagter. He has been a horn player with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra since 2019 and is also solo hornist with Chineke! Orchestra London. He has performed chamber music with musicians such as Radovan Vlatkovic, Natalia Gutman, Emmy Verhey.

Julia Buizer started playing the piano at the age of four. She has performed as a soloist with piano concertos by Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Janacek, Glass and Gershwin on various stages in the Netherlands and has performed in France, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and her native city St. Petersburg. Julia Buizer is co-répétiteur at the Hellendaal Muziekinstituut and is a subsitute with the Residentie Orkest.

Jan Buizer received his first violin lessons at the age of seven. As a young musician he was a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester and the orchestra of the Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival. He was also captain of the National Youth Orchestra. As a soloist he performed with Bruchs double concerto for viola and clarinet, Khachaturian's violin concerto and Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola. Since September 2008 he has been a member of the Residentie Orkest as a viola player.
